^{Belanova is a Latin Grammy-nominated Mexican synth-pop band from the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. The group consists of lead vocalist Denisse Guerrero, programmer and keyboardist Edgar Huerta, and Ricardo "Richie" Arreola on bass.
"Eres Tu" is Belanova's Spanish language version of the song "What I've Been Looking For", especially recorded for the Latin American edition of the soundtrack of the movie High School Musical.
Disney contacted Universal Music Mexico asking for Belanova to perform one of the tracks included on the soundtrack to promote the movie.}
