Jennifer Lynn Lopez ,born July 24, 1969, popularly nicknamed J.Lo, is an American Golden Globe-nominated actress, Grammy Award-nominated singer, record producer, dancer, fashion designer and television producer. She is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood according to Forbes, and the most influential Hispanic entertainer in the U.S. "Alive" is the other part of the double A-side along with "I'm Gonna Be Alright" (Track Masters Remix), the second and final single from Jennifer Lopez's remix album, J to tha L-O!: The Remixes (2002). The ballad was written by Lopez, her then-husband, Cris Judd, and Cory Rooney (who produced the track with Dan Shea). "Alive" was written for the soundtrack to Lopez's film Enough (although not included on its soundtrack album). Following the themes of the film, the song describes the struggles of battered women, who are able to overcome their abusive husbands to make it out alive. |
