Description

Shontelle Layne, born October 3, 1985, better known by her stage name Shontelle, is a Bajan singer/songwriter and rapper from Saint James, Barbados. She is popular in the Caribbean for her hit "Colours", realeased in 2005, which is a collaboration with another Bajan artist, Natahlee. She also wrote Alison Hinds' 2006 hit "Roll It Gal". She appeared in the music video for the re-worked "Roll It" performed by J-Status featuring Rihanna and herself, from 2006. "T-Shirt" is the first single released by Barbadian singer Shontelle from her album Shontelligence. Was sent to Mainstream Top 40 radio stations on July 15, 2008 and eventually became a successful hit at the format. The song peaked at number 18 at Mainstream on the chart issue date: October 31, 2008, according to Radio and Records' magazine CHR/Top 40 National Airplay Chart. The song has so far reached number 26 on the Billboard Pop 100 chart, and number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also entered the Canadian Hot 100 chart number 80.
